Who we are

The Kingston 4th of July is a community event supported by the residents and business owners of the greater Kingston/North Kitsap area.

The 2026 Kingston 4th of July committee includes Rebecca Maurer, Juli May, Brian Schilling-George, and Sumner Thomas. The committee is chaired and led by Dana Goodfellow.

Special support is provided by Port of Kingston, North Kitsap Kingston Rotary, and Greater Kingston Kiwanis. Our local business partners include Kingston Dental, Kingston Ale House, Grocery Outlet, Henery Hardware, Friends and Neighbors Brewing, Hood Canal Brewery, Western Red Brewery, and GrubHut.

This event is made possible by a large group of volunteers who dedicate countless hours to making this event safe and successful.

  • Events are centered around downtown Kingston, including Main Street/Highway 104, the Village Green area, Kola Kole Park, Yard Fitness, and the Kingston waterfront and marina.

  • Most activities, including the parade, Tiny Town, and fireworks, are free to the public. Some activities (such as the pancake breakfast or food vendors) may have a cost.

  • Events generally take place rain or shine. In cases of severe weather or safety concerns, schedules may change. Check local announcements or this website for day-of updates.

  • No, all events are first-come-first-served. Space in parks and on streets fills up quickly, so come early!

  • The parade generally runs through downtown Kingston, following Highway 104. To view from start to finish, sit at or beyond the post office heading towards the ferry. Specific routes may vary slightly each year.

  • Yes. Temporary road closures including all side roads from Lindvog to the ferry occur during the parade. Please follow posted signage and directions from volunteers and law enforcement.

  • Yes, the ferries will run on a regular schedule. The 11:55am Edmonds-Kingston ferry will hold temporarily during the parade.

  • Tiny Town is a children’s activity area featuring kid-friendly food and non-food vendors, hands-on fun, toddler-friendly toys, multiple bounce houses, and interactive book experiences. Activities are geared towards younger children, but all ages are welcome.

  • The fireworks show takes place on July 4 in the evening, after dark. Fireworks are traditionally launched over the Kingston waterfront/marina, making them visible from multiple areas around downtown and the shoreline.

  • Yes. Boaters should follow all maritime safety rules and instructions from event officials and marine authorities.

  • Parking is available throughout Kingston, but downtown parking fills up quickly. Additional parking may be available in designated overflow areas.

  • Yes. Food vendors are typically present throughout the day, especially in the downtown area.
